Walt Disney World Ride Closures and Refurbishments
There’s no worse feeling than getting all the way to Disney World and finding out (with your kids standing right next to you) that your favorite attraction is closed.
To avoid any broken hearts or mid-park breakdowns, I have complied this easy to navigate list of all of the current ride closures within the Walt Disney World Resort based on the latest Disney reports and updates.
Please note: The Monorail is running on a Modified Schedule
To accommodate planned maintenance, the operating schedule will be temporarily adjusted for the Epcot beam of the Walt Disney World Resort Monorail System. Monorail service to Epcot will start at 10 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Guests looking to visit Epcot earlier in the morning on those days will be able to access the park via bus from their Resort hotel. Additional buses will transport Guests between the Transportation & Ticket Center and Epcot.
**ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex is experiencing intermittent overnight lane closures, lane shifts, traffic congestion and noise impacts can be expected along Osceola Parkway / Victory Way.

Note: I update the list as soon as I have the latest information, but refurbishment details are subject to change at Disney’s discretion. You can certainly use this information for planning, but do not be surprised if it changes as your travel dates approach. Sudden temporary closing of rides can also happen. Not all ride closures are scheduled in advance, and there are many reasons why an attraction might need to suddenly close. But, most importantly, don’t get mad at the Cast Members… it’s probably just as frustrating to them as it may be to you.
Do you know of any ride closures or refurbishments that I’m missing? Let me know in the comments below.
