It’s officially summer time at Disney World!
I took a trip inside of Disney’s Magic Kingdom earlier this week and I’ll show you some of the new merch, ride construction progress and new Toy Story snacks now available for your enjoyment.
So let’s dive right in… What’s new at Disney’s Magic Kingdom right now?
Updates on Tron Construction at Walt Disney World
Tron isn’t scheduled to open until 2021, but they seem to be moving fast with setting up the tracks. I love seeing the progress and how quick Disney is at creating the magic.

There is a lot more track that needs to go in, but what they have done so far is impressive.

There is still an outside section of track and a covering to be completed around it.

By the looks of the dips and curves in the track, they will really be bringing how playing Tron feels to life.

If you want to see the progress on the Tron coaster for yourself, I suggest taking a ride on the Peoplemover or Goofy’s Barnstormer for a closer look.
Updates on Cinderella’s Castle Moat Construction
Disney still has some visible construction going on around Cinderella’s Castle. A lot of concrete work has been done, but it still seems like it will be a little while before they complete this project.

It appears that they are extending the seating area and walkway for Sleepy Hollow to make the area less crowded.

New Disney Merch For Summer 2019
Calling all Disney Moms! I finally saw all of the new Minnie Ears for summer 2019, and the colors are amazing.
They are:
- Briar Rose Gold
- Imagination Pink
- Magic Mirror Metallic
- Potion Purple
Ears can be coordinated with a number of matching products – like the Loungefly mini backpacks, coffee mugs, spirit jerseys, phone cases, sandals and magic bands.
A lot of these items can already be purchased on Shop Disney, if you’re not able to make it out to the parks any time soon.
Here are some examples of the new merch that I saw…

I really love them all, but think my absolute favorite are the Potion Purple ears… what’s your favorite? Let me know in the comments below!
Toy Story Snacks
If you haven’t heard … Toy Story 4 was just released in theaters this month!
While a majority of the Toy Story festivities are taking place in Toy Story Land over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we’re seeing a bit of the celebration over in Magic Kingdom as well. Look at some of these yummy treats to commemorate the new film:

They were also making Woody and Buzz Lightyear Oreo Cookie pops – which seemed to be fast sellers (because they only had 2-3 remaining on their display plate when I visited Big Top Souvenirs). In the end, my kids couldn’t decide which of the treats the liked the best. All looked equally delicious and fun (even though it’s all straight sugar) 😉
With all that said, it wouldn’t be Disney if there wasn’t constant progress happening, so check back with me in a few weeks for another update on anything new at the parks or resorts.
In addition to the construction at the parks, Disney is also making a lot of progress on the new Disney Skyliner. Read my article to learn more about this new upcoming mode of transportation around the WDW Resort!
